2008/09 Season
Round 1 - Ulster (Bye)
Round 2 - Dundalk IT (0) vs (5) Ulster
A great start to the season with a convincing victory over Dundalk.
Round 3 - Ulster (3) vs (2) UCD
This was a massive result for the boys as UCD would be one of the stronger teams in the group.
Round 4 - Trinity (2) vs (3) Ulster
This result underlined our authority in the group and left the team as clear group leaders. Ulster lost this fixture by the same score last season.
Round 5 - Ulster (3) vs Queens (2)
A third tough fixture in a row with this one going to a play off hole. Ulster held their nerve to win on the first hole and claim a fifth stright win.
Round 6 - Ulster (5) vs DIT (0) W/O
DIT could not field a team gave us a walk over - 5-0 win to Ulster
Round 7 - Ulster (3) vs NCI (2)
Despite an unbeaten record Ulster still needed to record a win in order to secure a spot in the finals as NCI and UCD both had only lost one game each before this match.
On a cold, wet and very windy day at Royal Portrush the match once again went to a play off, and again Ulster showed their talent and held their nerve to win on the first play off hole.

Cork IT (1) vs UCD (4)
Final at Glasson Golf Hotel on Mon 30th March
Ulster (3 1/2) vs UCD (1 1/2)
Wins for: Paul Reavey, Jack Owens, Aaron Kearney
Half for: Ross Oliver
The final turned out to be a repeat of our group match against UCD. The boys finised off an unbeaten season in the Irish Colleges League with nine wins out of nine matches to be crowned 2008/09 champions!
2007/08 Season
Round 1 - Ulster (4) vs (1) DIT
A great start to the Irish Colleges League campaign with a comfortable win against DIT.
Round 2 - Ulster (0) vs (5) Maynooth
A disasterious second game at home to the league favourites Maynooth. The result does not tell the full story as UU lost 3 matches on the 18th hole.
Round 3 - Ulster (3) vs (2) Queens
The season back on track as we just edged out Queens at Royal Portrush.
Round 4 - Trinity College (3) vs (2) Ulster
We were unlucky to loss to Trinity having been in a winning position, Trinity came back to win the match on the 1st playoff hole.
Round 5 - Ulster (5) vs Dundalk IT (0)
A solid win for the boys at home with to keep our qualifying hopes very much alive.
Round 6 - DCU (0) vs Ulster (5)
DCU could not field a team gave us a walk over - 5-0 win to UU.
Round 7 - Ulster (5) vs NCI (0)
For the second game in a row the opposition could not field a team and gave us a walk over - 5-0 win to Ulster.
Round 8 - Crossover round 2nd in group A play 3rd in group B and vice versa (Sun 13th April at Glasson Golf Hotel)

NUI Maynooth (A Team) (won) vs NUI Maynooth (B Team)
Having finished joint top of our group with Queens, NUI Maynooth A Team & Trinity College, the team have unfortunately missed out on the cross over round following the walk over’s rule - we had more walk over’s than the other teams at the top following are results from rounds 6 & 7.

Ulster Ladies Team
2009/10 Season
Unfortunately Ulster will not be competing in the ladies compeition this season. We hope to be back in 2010/11.
2008/09 Season
Unfortunately the 2008/09 season for the Ladies League was cancelled due to complications with travel and course availablity due to poor weather conditions.
As a result the Ladies got together at the finals weekend in Glasson Golf Hotel on the 29th & 30th March and hosted a two day Championship. Results as follows:
Sarah Toland was Ulster’s highest finish with 12th place (86) (89) (Total - 175)
Emma Leslie finished in 14th place (89) (88) (Total - 177)
Claire Cathcart finished in 16th place (94) (90) (Total - 184)
2007/08 Season
Round 1 - Ulster (4.5) vs (6.5.) DCU
A disappointing start to the Irish Colleges League Campaign.
Round 2 - UCD (3) vs (8) Ulster
A great away win to get things back on track for the ladies team.
Round 3 - Ulster have a bye
Round 4 - Trinity College (0) vs Ulster (8)
Trinity College could not field a team and gave us a walk over - 8pts to Ulster.
Round 5 - Ulster (8) vs NUI Galway (0)
Once again our opponents could not field a team and gave us a walk over - 8pts to Ulster.

The club would like to congratulate University of Limerick Ladies Team on winning the 2008 Irish Colleges Ladies League.
Ulster 3 Man Team - Shield Team
2009/10 Season
Following a change in the Irish Colleges Golf Association regulations, Ulster are not eligable to enter the shield competition this season. Instead we will focus all our efforts on retaining the league title.
2008/09 Season
Round 1 - Ulster vs DCU
DCU withdrew from the league before the fixture could be played.
Round 2 - Maynooth (3) vs (0) Ulster
A difficult away trip got the team off to a bad start.
Round 3 - IT Tallagh (1) vs Ulster (2)
This really was a must win game for the team who turned in a very good away perfromance to win 1 - 2 and keep the dream of defending the shield title alive.
Round 4 - UCC vs Ulster
With a long drive to Cork ahead of the team we were delighted to hear that this fixture had been rearranged for the finals weekend in Glasson as a semi-final fixture.

It wasnt to be this season as the defending champions crashed out of the competition to a very strong UCC side.

2007/08 Season
Round 1 - Carlow IT (3) vs (0) Ulster
Home advantage proved to much in our opening match as our boys could not master a course they had never played on.
Round 2 - Ulster (2) vs (1) GMIT
Home advantage swund back in our favour this time to get us up and running in the Irish Colleges League
Round 3 - Ulster (2) vs (1) Tallagh IT
A second win in a row starts to build confidence.
Round 4 - Shannon College (0) vs Ulster (3)
A great away win keeps the shield team going strong.
Our second away match of the season was a potential banana skin but the boys done extermely well after a 6 hour journey to win 3-0.
Round 5 - Ulster (2) vs Cork (1)
The best performance yet from the shield team helps to take a narrow win over are rivals Cork.
Both Ulster & Cork were fighting it out for second spot in the group which went in our favour!
