The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews has supported student golf by providing scholarships for outstanding golfers.  The Royal and Ancient Awards supported by GUI (Ulster Branch) enable the University of Ulster to offer a wide range of services and high level competition to student golfer on the programme.

The University of Ulster is one of only twelve University throughout Ireland and the UK to receive an R&A funded grant.
