Ulster Golf Club Competitions

Ulster is represented in the following student and GUI competitions:

Oct - Irish Universities Strokeplay Championship (Team & Individual)

Oct - Apr  -  Irish Colleges League (Mens & Ladies teams)
Apr - R&A Foundation Scholarship Competition
Apr - BUCS Individual Championships
Jun - GUI Barton Shield
Jun - BUCS Home Nations Golf Championship

This year Ulster will only enter a team into the Irish Colleges Men’s League competition.  We hope to be back in the Ladies League competition again in 2011.
 
Both teams are normally, but not exclusively made up of Ulster golf scholars, meaning that any student member of the Ulster Golf Club can participate in the above competitions if selected.
 
One great way to get selected is to participate regularly in the Golf Programme and make yourself and your golfing ability known to other Ulster golfers and golf club committee members.

Ulster Golf Club 'Order of Merit'

Ulster also host an internal ’order of merit’ competition for students, staff & guests:

Oct - May       ’Order of Merit’ Competition

This competition is organised through the Ulster Golf Club and is played on a number of excellent courses throughout N. Ireland.  This year 2009/10, the club is proposing 4 outings to including;  Royal Portrush G.C, Ballycastle G.C, The Hilton Templepatrick and Cairndhu G.C.

Each outing offers a combination of golf and food at very reasonable rates - please see Club Diary section of the website for further details on each outing in due course.

Alumni Golf Challenge

The Ulster Alumni Office host the annual Alumni Golf Challenge, when Alumni’s are invited back to compete against current students, staff & guest.
